Ken Tomilson (aka Luke Warmwater, his Radical Faerie name) committed much of his life to LGBTQ community-building for decades before his death in 2017. He continued doing so by bequeathing the majority of his estate be split between Rainbow Refugee and Out On Screen. Ken was a world traveller, including a 17,000 kilometre bicycle trip, from Norway to Mumbai. After developing Muscular Dystrophy in his last 15 years his body no longer allowed travel, so he continued his engagement with the world by hosting over 300 Couch Surfers in his West End condo, developing friendships and connections with LGBTQ people  all over the globe. In leaving this generous gift to Rainbow Refugee, Ken (aka Luke) has continued to create community beyond all borders.
